pemberton visitor centre
The job: Redesign the Pemberton Visitors Centre website with a focus on user friendly navigation, information and linking it to the existing Southern Forests website database.
Approach: Pemberton is a beautiful place and having lived there for years I wanted to show it off to it's best.
I sought to improve the site layout and make the information more accessible than their previous website.
The original alphabetical business listings were augmented with subcategory pages, for example accommodation subcategory pages listed businesses by AAA star rating, accreditation and accommodation style.
Project management, content management... a lot of work went into this site. More than can really be written here.
Unfortunately the design and layout I created for the site was changed beyond recognition recently when another company added an booking system to the site... While a booking system was just what the Tourist Centre needed, the new "design" was a backward step in my opinion...
Skills: HTML, CSS, adapting pre-written ASP.
